The final stage of the multidisciplinary engineering Olympiad “Star”

The final stage of the multidisciplinary engineering Olympiad “Star” in the area “Natural Sciences” (Mathematic and Physics disciplines) took place on the 18th of February on the base of VSTU. More than 130 7th-11th year-pupils took part in it after passing the preliminary round.
The geography of the participants of the final stage increases from year to year: Volgograd, Volzhsky, Mikhailovka, Frolovo, Kotovo and Znamensk city (Astrakhan Region).
The Olympiad “Star” is the All-Russian multidisciplinary engineering Olympiad that takes place on more than 50 platforms of the country.
The winners will have the possibility to use the preferential terms of entering the Universities. They can enter VSTU for the technical disciplines without the entrance tests if they get no less than 75 points in the Unified State Examination (Mathematic and Physics disciplines). All the participants will get the points for the individual achievements when they enter the technical Universities.
The results will be announced in March on the official page of the Olympiad http://zv.susu.ru and on the site of the Admission Committee of VSTU.
