The "JuniorActive" Project: humanitarian aspect of the specialist's training. The students of the Engineering class visited the museum of "ABC book"

The humanitarian aspect forming the complex socio-cultural orientation of the qualified specialist's development is one of the important aspects of the modern training in the area of techniques and technology along with the formation of the professional competences in the areas of the disciplines of physico-mathematical cycle.
The pupils of Svetly Yar grammar school №1 visited Volgograd State Social Pedagogical University within the framework of the educational program of the engineering class on the 29th of November. The Vice-Dean of The Pre-University Training Faculty of VSTU A.V. Isayev and Associate Professor of VSSPU Y.V. Borovitskaya were the curators of the project.
The Bachelor Degree 4th-year students of the "Social Work" Area organized the interesting excursion for the pupils. The pupils found out about the expositions of the University, visited the Faculties and talked to their teachers.
The young people can follow many interesting educational programs at the graduate Faculties of VSTU within the framework of the further realization of the educational format "Engineering class": they have already visited the Chair "Electric Engineering" and took part in the educational program "Day of Science for Young Engineers".
After the excursions and traditional dinner in the canteen of VSTU the pupils visited the children's library of the city, museum of "ABC book", found out about the history of the ABC book and participated in the final game.
The educational format "Engineering class" of the pupils' additional training, organized within the framework of the "JuniorActive" Project, is considered to be the promising basic format of the web cooperation "School-University". The "JuniorActive" Project is realized as a part of the plan of the Flagship University Development. It is aimed at the development and support of the teenagers and children's research and technical (engineering) creativity in Volgograd District.
