Foresight session “University in the district” at VSTU

The representatives of the Government of Volgograd District and business and research community will participate in three-days foresight session discussing the questions that are important for the University and Volgograd District: “What are the drivers of the district?”, “How to attract and keep the talented specialists in the district?”, “What is the image of the future of our district?”
The session was opened by the Rector of VSTU and Academician of RAS Vladimir Lysak. The Vice-Governor of Volgograd District and Head of the Economic Policy and Volgograd District Development Committee Alexander Sivakov, representative of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives of Volgograd District Alexander Andreev, Head of Volgograd Regional Business Incubator Alexander Krylov, participant of the project partnership “Constructors of the Practice Communities” Aleksey Yatsyna and Head of the Company “Aria-Rossa” and the member of the project “Strategies of social and economical development of Volgograd District” Pavel Bestchastniy took part in the opening of the foresight session.
The Rector of VSTU and Academician of RAS Vladimir Lysak remarked the success of VSTU as a Flagship University and said that the merging of VSTU and VSUACE (Volgograd State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering) had contributed to solving of the questions connected with the engineering specialists’ training in the district.
According to Alexander Sivakov’s words, only promising and non-standard decisions from the modern young people will make the economy of Volgograd District change. It is necessary to define the perspectives of the stable development of the district.
As we've already said, the Commission accepted the entry for the organization of the platform for the students and pupils’ training in the area “Robotic Science, Educative computer games and Robotic sets” at VSTU. The technical park “Kvantorium” will start its work on the base of the Flagship University very soon.
The Head of Volgograd Regional Business Incubator Alexander Krylov said that the foresight session was a powerful instrument for looking beyond the horizon of the events, developing and succeeding. The digital technologies can make many professions disappear so we have to think about the high-demand areas.
The participants’ collective desire was to start the work for the benefit of the district and country. We can do very much together.
