18.09.2018

The collection of the Museum of Tsaritsyn-Stalingrad-Volgograd Architecture (Architecture and Civil Engineering Institute of VSTU) was enriched with a new exhibit item having the exceptional value for the architectural history of Volgograd. This is a drawing of the honored architect of Russian SFSR, honorary citizen of the Hero City Fedor Lyssov made by the Academician of the Academy of Arts of USSR, Hero of Socialist Labor, people's artist of USSR, laureate of the Lenin Prize and 5 Stalin prizes, famous sculptor Evgeny Vuchetich.

Fedor Lyssov spent more than 9 years working with Evgeny Vuchetich, doing the project works for the memorial complex on Mamayev Hill. There are the author's sign and the year "1964" on the drawing. The item was presented by Fedor Lyssov's daughter Elena. She also shared her father's family archive, including the papers and personal things from the leading figure of Volgograd architecture. There were Fedor's memories that became the base of the new monograph "Masters of Volgograd Architecture. Architect Fedor Lyssov" written by the Professor of VSTU P.P. Oleynikov.

The museum got one more exhibit item - copy of the documental film about Tsaritsyn in 1924 and Stalingrad in 1930 where it is possible to see the architectural objects of our city that disappeared in the flame of Stalingrad Battle forever.
