The University Authorities met the veterans of the Great Patriotic War

The Authorities of VSTU (Vladimir Lysak, Rector of VSTU, corresponding member of Russian Academy of Sciences; Ivan Novakov, President of VSTU, Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences and Igor Stefanenko, Head of the Architecture and Engineering Institute) met the veterans of The Great Patriotic War today.

Before the meeting the Authorities of VSTU laid flowers on the memorial tablet “We remember!” on the second floor of the main academic building: it is dedicated to all the students, teachers and workers of the University killed during the war.

Vladimir Lysak thanked the veterans for their exploit and wished them strong health. The Head of the Veterans’ Council of VSTU Victor Shestel shared his memories about the great Day of the Victory in Berlin on the 9^th of May 1945.

We hope there will be many meetings like this in the future! And the veterans will put on their Orders of military merit again.
