The meeting of the Academic Council of VSTU

The Heads of the structural units of VSTU, Heads of the Chairs, Professors and Directors of the affiliates of VSTU gathered to the meeting of the Academic Council of the Flagship University.
The Vice-Chairman of the Regional Committee of Education and Science U.V. Kuznetsov, Head of Volgograd Academy of the Interior Ministry of Russia and major general V.I. Tretyakov, Rector of VSU and professor V.V. Tarakanov, Rector of VSSPU and professor A.M. Korotkov, Vice-Rectors for Academic Affairs of V.A. Baluev Volgograd State Academy of Physical Education and Affiliate of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration I.V. Tushkanov were invited to the meeting.
The Rector of VSTU and Academician of RAS Vladimir Lysak told about the work of VSTU in his report. The University confirmed its active development in 2017 with the triumphant victories in the prestige contests: “Universities as Centers of the Development of Innovations”, “UniversityPromExpo”. The students of our University won in the All-Russian Students’ Research and Technological Fest “UniversityPromFest”. It’s the 7th time VSTU has become “The best organization of the year” in the all-year regional contest. Also VSTU has the 27th place among Russian Universities in the international rating THE and the 39th position in the National Rating.
The Rector of VSTU proudly demonstrated the presentation about the modern research and educational equipment. The members of the Council discussed the work of the collective and the tasks of VSTU for 2018.
