The meeting of the Rectorate at the Flagship University

The meeting of the Rectorate took place today at VSTU. First of all, the Rector of VSTU and Academician of RAS Vladimir Lysak asked to honor Alexander Polovinkin’s memory: the Doctor of Technical Sciences and Professor Alexander Ivanovich Polovinkin was the Rector of Volgograd Polytechnic University from 1983 to 1988.
The Vice-Rectors of VSTU, Heads of the Affiliates and the first Vice-Rector and Head of Architecture and Civil Engineering Institute reported about the formation of the University Development Plan for the years 2018-2019. The plans are optimistic because the volume of the research work of VSTU doubled last year. “We must set only the ambitious tasks and solve them with the collective efforts”, - the Rector of VSTU said.
The First Vice-Rector Alexander Navrotsky read the lecture about the formation of the plan of the main events at VSTU for the years 2018-2019. The Flagship University has 14 top-priority tasks, for example, the realization of the programs of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation: the Flagship University development, “Universities as Centers of the Creation of Innovations”, new specialists for military industrial complex, development of the activity in the students’ associations, realization of the events for the accreditation of the educational programs of VSTU, establishment of 7 new basic chairs in the cooperation with the enterprises and organizations of the district.
The Rector of VSTU and Academician of RAS Vladimir Lysak reported about the project of estimate of centralized expenses for 2018 and remarked that the dynamics of budget showed the incremental increase.
