VSTU: recognition on the international level

It’s the first time Volgograd Flagship Technical University has been included in Times Higher Education (list of the best Universities of the world 2017-2018) among 27 Russian Universities. VSTU took the position 1001+. Of course, it’s an achievement of the whole staff of the Flagship University. It proves the increase of the international recognition of the University and its research schools.
The end of the academic year at VSTU and the beginning of the new one 2017-2018 were marked with many important events connected with positioning of VSTU on the international stage: visits of the delegations of the Islamic Republic of Iran (Gilan and Mazandaran Provinces), USA (University from Michigan and Emory University), Rector of VSTU and Academician of RAS Vladimir Lysak’s visit to Vietnam and our researchers’ training at the leading international Universities (26 teachers for 9 months).
As for the international activity of the chairs in 2017, the following entries for the international grants were approved: Teaching Assistant Program – program for English teachers’ assistants (USA); grant for the research training in accordance with the program of German Academic Exchange Service DAAD; grant of the President of the Russian Federation for education abroad and students and teachers’ mobility in accordance with the program Erasmus+ initiative of Capacity building in the field of Higher Education.
